Excerpt from Chapter 4 – “SHOULD INFANTS BE BAPTIZED? COVENANTAL CONTINUITY”Published October 16, 2017
Fairly often one finds credobaptists assume that those who believe in infant baptism do not perform adult baptisms. Of course, all paedobaptists also do credobaptisms. All the examples of New Testament baptisms are of adults, usually including their households, as new believers were just coming into the church as new churches were being planted. For these new believers, baptism was a confession before others of their commitment and sworn allegiance to Christ alone. However, this allegiance to Christ extended to their household, including their infant children.
